Chanove Works is a home for learning, building, questioning, and refining ideas. It combines an engineering mindset with a literary, editorial sensibility — serious without being stiff, personal without being small.

What it is

At its center is The Chanove Log: a record of essays, poems, engineering notes, book and film thoughts, research, and reflections on money, culture, and life. Around it sits the Lab (projects and tools), Guides (practical resources built from real experience), and Recommendations (a curated library worth studying).

Why it exists

Most understanding evaporates if it isn’t written down and tested. This site is a deliberate place to do both — to keep an honest record of what’s being figured out, and to build things that prove whether the thinking holds. The name carries a small promise: if it’s Chanove, it works.

Who’s behind it

I’m Roland Chanove, an aerospace engineering student, researcher, and builder interested in engineering, money, culture, fitness, and the process of becoming more capable. Chanove Works is where I collect what I’m learning, building, questioning, and refining — a personal log now, and the foundation for useful tools, guides, and products later.

Over time, Chanove Works may include selected contributors — family voices, guests, and other careful thinkers — alongside guides, tools, and courses. It starts as one person’s log and is built to grow into something larger without losing that standard.

Where it’s going

The plan is patient. Begin as a writing and project space; add tools and guides as they earn their place; and let the most useful of them grow into products and, eventually, a company for ideas, education, and things built to work. No rush, and no shortcuts.
